Privacy Policy

GameLinkIQ is a sports scoring and statistics service in the same category as GameChanger, MaxPreps and Perfect Game. Team rosters, player names and game statistics are team-sports data provided by coaches and team administrators — the same information that sanctioning bodies such as USSSA already publish. The service is intended for coaches, team administrators, parents and fans, and is not directed to children under 13.

Who uses GameLinkIQ

Accounts are created and used by adults — coaches, team administrators, parents and fans. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or provide personal information about themselves. Player information is entered by a team's coach or administrator, not collected from the players.

Information we handle

• Account information you provide: your name and email address. We sign you in with a one-time email link or code — we do not store a password.
• Team and player information entered by a coach or team administrator, or synced from a team's USSSA registration: player names, jersey numbers, positions, ages/age groups, and the games, lineups, plays and resulting statistics.
• Usage and device information: basic technical data such as app version, general device type and log data needed to operate and secure the service.

Player data and consent

A coach or team administrator who enters or syncs player information represents that they have the authority to do so and any consent required from the players' parents or guardians. Team administrators are responsible for the player data associated with their teams. How the information is used

• To keep score, compute statistics, and show team, player, event and leaderboard pages.
• To let followers see a team's or player's games, live scores and stats.
• To operate, secure, support and improve the service, and to send account and support email.

How information is shared

• Public sports pages. Player profiles, team pages, tournament, state and national leaderboards and awards may be publicly viewable and shareable — consistent with how youth-sports statistics are normally published. These show sports information (name, team, stats), not contact details.
• Service providers who host and operate the service on our behalf (for example, our cloud hosting and transactional email providers) under obligations to protect the data.
• USSSA integration. GameLinkIQ integrates with USSSA to sync team rosters and event data; statistics from scored events may be shared with USSSA as part of that partnership.
• Legal and safety reasons where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal information.

Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and the personal data attached to it (your sign-in, team claims, follows and administrator roles). Team and player statistics that were scored remain with those teams and players as team-sports data. You may also contact [email protected] for assistance.

Data retention & security

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate operational, legal and safety purposes, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information directly, contact [email protected] and we will address it.

Your choices

You can update your account details in the app, delete your account, unfollow teams and players, and contact us with any privacy request. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information; contact us to exercise them.

Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
